The Alberta Land Surveyors' Association Safety Committee members discuss and share safety incidents at every Committee meeting, that occur on the job site or while working.

Distracted Driving Legislation (Bill 16)
Communication is the most important part of an Alberta Land Surveyors career. It is advisable that all land surveyors understand this legislation and how it is affecting how we communicate with our clients and our staff. This new legislation poses a lot of questions i.e. Can I drink a coffee while driving? Do I need to pull over and where and when it is safe to do that? The following link to the Government of Alberta web site will hopefully answer all your questions. It is important that you review the website to be fully informed under the new legislation.
