Jean Cote Neighbourhood History Talk

As a long-time resident, I have recently researched and written a history of the neighborhood from 142 St. west to 149 St. and from 106 Ave. south to 92 Ave. This area is where housing started in west end Edmonton. Much of its history has been lost, hidden, or misstated. Even published facts are little known. This book will reveal surprises and solve mysteries.

A free preview of this history is coming. I will give a talk to the Edmonton and District Historical Society, at the Pioneer's Cabin, 9430 Scona Rd. N.W (formerly called the Old Timers' Cabin).

The talk will be on Tuesday September 27. Doors open at 7 p.m., talk starts at 7:30 p.m. Don't miss this chance. Mark your calendar now.
