MSP, Surveys Act– update needed to title blocks and certifications

At the 2022 ALSA AGM, the membership voted to update the MSP. As part of this update the definitions of improvements was moved to Part C Section 6.5. Please download a new copy of the MSP from the ALSA website and compare your RPR certificate to the sample presented in Part C Section 6.9.
 
Additionally, on June 30, 2022, a new Surveys Act was proclaimed. Please visit the Alberta King’s Printer to download the latest version.

Some key changes include removing the need to calibrate standard tapes (see Section 11), extended timelines to depict a re-establishment on a plan and for delayed posting (section 46 and 47) and language related to the use of alternative monuments (Section 53).
