Land Titles Looking for Feedback on New Digital Services

Land Titles, Surveys, and Foreign Ownership of Land are experiencing substantial increases in real estate transactions submitted for registration. In response, Alberta Registries is undergoing modernization to transform current paper-based processes to more digital, convenient, and accessible services.

We are looking for Alberta Land Surveyors and their staff to participate in user testing, and to provide feedback on new digital services related to submission of plans and documentation.

What user testing will entail:
  • A researcher will send an invitation for a 60-minute meeting, to be conducted over your preferred channel (MS Teams, Zoom).
  • This will be a loosely structured conversation; we will ask about your experiences with survey submissions and have you look through mock-up screens of proposed digital services (e.g., What is working well, what improvements you might like to see moving forward).
Things to note:
  • No experience or prep necessary on your end. We are just interested in your honest feedback about surveys submissions.
  • You will need access to reliable internet access for video chat or phone, and a quiet space to talk.
  • We will never share your personal data. Your name and company affiliation can be anonymized if you prefer.

Please contact us at jennifer.cao@gov.ab.ca if you have any questions or would like to participate in the Alberta Land Titles Registries Modernization effort.
