The Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Environment and Protected Areas (EPA) is excited to announce the launch of the Regulatory Dialogue Portal (RDP), a new communication platform designed to enhance how we engage with clients seeking regulatory approvals administered by EPA under the
Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act or the
Water Act. This portal focuses on creating a new communication channel that allows incoming and existing environmental approval and license holders to provide their input on regulatory processes. By offering an alternative opportunity to contact the regulatory department in EPA , the RDP seeks to ensure that the voices of industry and other stakeholders are heard and responded to in a timely manner.
The RDP seeks to streamline communication, identify trends, improve systems, and refine processes to better serve our external clients as a whole. Our goal is to leverage these insights to strengthen our organization and foster a culture of growth and responsiveness.
The RDP process is intended to be straightforward. Users will have the opportunity to share their feedback through a user-friendly online platform, which will be routed for response by a subject matter expert within EPA. We have a goal to respond back to the client within 3 business days, once the submission is determined to be complete.
Please note, questions related to the Digital Regulatory Assurance System (
DRAS) should continue to be routed to the DRAS support email (
regulatoryassurance.support@gov.ab.ca) or by contacting (780) 427-6311 or toll free at 310-000 between 8:15 am and 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday (closed statutory holidays).
