Land Surveyors already licensed outside of Canada

If you hold a license to practice land surveying in another country, you may be eligible to become registered as an Alberta Land Surveyor without going through all of the same steps as someone who has never been registered as an Alberta Land Surveyor.

Applicability

In order to be eligible, you must currently hold a license to practice land surveying in another country.

You are not eligible if you were educated outside of Canada but do not also hold a license to practice land surveying.

The license must be to practice land surveying and not a different branch of surveying. The practice of land surveying is defined in the Land Surveyors Act

In Alberta, you do not require a license to practice, for example, geodesy.
