Alberta Environment and Parks was tasked with developing a new Alberta Wetland Policy and to provide assurance to Albertans that wetlands are being managed to a high professional standard.
In 2017, ten professional regulatory organizations worked together with Alberta Environment & Parks to implement a practice standard for professional practice and provide authenticating professionals within those professional regulatory organizations with a competency guideline for wetland science.
Requirement for a Declaration

Application
In order to receive the declaration, the practitioner must complete the following application and provide the required documents. The material will be reviewed by the registrar and, if acceptable, it will be approved by the registrar.
